 BIRDING


Many birds nest in the area: Toucans, Jacamars, Spectacled Owls, Ferruginous Pygmy Owls and of course, numerous types of hummingbirds. Las Cuevas is recognised by international Ornithological experts as being an excellent location to observe resident and migrant birds.

HORSEBACK RIDING


The meandering jungle trails under the Las Cuevas canopy, along the Monkey Tail track or over the main divide provides through the river and into the Roaring River Valley offers riders an interesting and exciting ride, suitable for both novice and experienced riders.

SWIMMING


Swim in the fast flowing rapids of the Macal River or relax in the crystal clear jungle "hot tub"  of the Monkey Tail River and enjoy a listening to the Scarlet Macaws fly over head.
